Dick Wolf
Richard Anthony "Dick" Wolf (born December 20, 1946) is an American television producer. He has won numerous awards, including an Emmy Award and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Wolf has also authored three books. The first, nonfiction ''Law & Order: Crime Scenes'', is a companion to the ''Law & Order'' television series. ''The Intercept'' and ''The Execution'' are the first volumes in a new thriller series with N.Y.P.D. Detective Jeremy Fisk. ==Early life== Wolf was born in New York City, the son of Marie G. (née Gaffney), a homemaker, and George Wolf, an advertising executive.〔(Dick Wolf profile ), FilmReference.com; accessed February 1, 2014.〕 His father was Jewish, and his mother was Roman Catholic of Irish descent. He was an altar boy and attended Saint David's School, The Gunnery, and the University of Pennsylvania (class of 1969), where he belonged to the Zeta Psi fraternity. He also attended Phillips Academy.
